Welcome to Week 20 of the 52 weeks to a better you journey.
Slow and steady is going to win this race, right everyone? Remember not to get discouraged if you haven’t been able to do all of your baby steps. The important thing is to keep trying. This week we are building on a previous baby step.
Drink 3 cups of water every day
If you have been following along in this journey, you should be drinking two cups of water every day. Basically, we will be adding 1 cup of water to our week 6 baby step. At this point you should have a habit in place for getting some water in your body every day. Are you noticing some positive changes as you keep your body hydrated?
To get this water in, I am keeping a water bottle on my night stand. This makes it easier to meet my mornings with water before I start my day. I also keep water bottles in my fridge so that I grab them when I am thirsty.
I find that I am more apt to drink the water if it is cold.
If you haven’t been keeping track of how much water you are consuming every day, this is the time to start. Find yourself a water bottle that matches your personality and use that to encourage you to keep doing this baby step.
Water is very important to getting and staying healthy.
Baby step for this week: Drink three cups of water every day. If you already drink plenty of water, give yourself a high five, keep doing it and come back next week. If you are drinking water, but not enough, then you will be adding one more cup to your normal drinking.
If you don’t like water, here are a few tips for getting those three cups in:
- Drink it cold
- Drink bottled water
- Drink it in sips over a few minutes
- Put a piece of citrus fruit in it
- Use a special glass, bottle, or mug to drink your water from
