Welcome to Week 19 of the 52 weeks to a better you journey.
Hello all! Here we are again. 🙂 What are we going to do this week to improve ourselves? Is there something that you like to do in your free time? A hobby or craft that makes your life brighter? Well, this week we are going to take our baby step exploring that.
Spend 30 minutes a week on a fun project
While it is important to take care of our responsibilities, it is also important to take care of ourselves. All of our baby steps have been steps to do just that. Sometimes, though, we don’t look at recreational things as important. But they are. When we take time in our lives to do things that make us happy, we increase our pleasure in life and that translates to making us better people.
There is a reason that we have particular likes and dislikes. A reason that we excel at certain things. Maybe you already do those things for a living. Or perhaps those things are just hobbies. The important thing is that we give some attention to those things especially when our lives are out of balance and leaning toward focusing on everyone other than ourselves.
It sounds selfish, but if we can create a balance between ourselves and caring for others, we are all better for it.
This week, we are going to take something that we like to do and spend 30 minutes doing it.
It can be a project all by itself or it can be just taking that 30 minute time frame to enjoy something outside of the ordinary.
What do you like to do? What craft, or hobby, or sport peaks your interest? Do you like to read? Spend 30 minutes reading a book for pure enjoyment. Do you like to make things? Find a craft that you can spend 30 minutes doing. Is there a class available for you to take doing something fun? The possibilities are numerous.
How do you add fun to your life?
Baby step for this week: Spend 30 minutes this week on a fun project
Pick something that you would have fun doing. A hobby, craft, sport, project, etc. Spend 30 minutes this week having fun.
If you can put more than 30 minutes into what you picked, that’s great! If you are having trouble finding that 30 minute block of time, try splitting the 30 minutes into small bits. Maybe 15 minutes two times in the week or 10 minutes three times in the week.
Be sure to have fun with it though. That is the point, after all. 🙂
What about you?
What fun thing are you going to do this week?
