Village Creek State Park (Review)

We stayed at Village Creek State Park for two days. The park has a two night requirement when you stay on the weekend. Our experience was very pleasant. The park is well kept and very pretty with lots of ways to enjoy nature. It has hiking trails, boating, horseback riding, multi-use fields, and even a nature center. It also has a nice shop to buy souvenirs and supplies. The bathrooms were a mixed experience. One set we went into was old and needed cleaning. Another set was newer and very clean. The staff was very friendly. The sites were inexpensive and not too close together. We were impressed and plan to go back to this park.

Pros:

Clean and well taken care of overall, lots of trees, lots of ways to enjoy nature, quite a few trails to hike, inexpensive, sites well spaced from each other, picnic tables and fire pits at each site, park store, nature center, staff is friendly, some clean bathrooms, firewood available, multiple dump stations

Cons:

Some older bathrooms
