I like to try different recipes, but I would not say that I am a chef by any means. I like cooking to be simple.
I love recipes that have just a few ingredients and take a minimum effort to make. Slow cooker meals often fall under that category.
Today I want to share a really simple slow cooker meal that my family loves. By the way, this recipe isn’t mine. I found it in a magazine many years ago.
Buffalo Chicken Soup
3 12.5 ounce cans of chunk chicken breast
3 10.75 ounce cans of condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 8 ounce container of sour cream
1/4-1/2 cup of hot pepper sauce
6 cups of milk
Combine first 4 ingredients in slow cooker and stir. Add milk and stir again until everything is combined. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
A couple of notes here.
I prefer to use canned chunk chicken because it’s easy. You could certainly use any kind of shredded chicken you want.
I typically use 1/4 cup of hot sauce because that is enough spice for me. My son likes the 1/2 cup version since he loves spicy foods.
